Something Old

I love the use of old items in alot of the NEW jewelry you can find in you local Department stores or online. The use of old keys, old scarfs, old pictures and cameo's are something for the eyes to gaze on.

It really puts the designers gifts on display. What some people can do with old buttons is amazing... making them look nothing like buttons. Also, the use of old found things like pictures, ceramic, vintage crystal (from chandelier and lamp shades).... Just makes me say, why didn't I think of that. All goodies for the eyes and wonders for the brain.

So if you are a designer of jewelry or any crafter... never look at something old once, look and look again. Never know what you may see. Now if you are the buyer... never let the opportunity to own a unique one of a kind or unusual piece of jewelry that makes you smile and all others admire each time you wear it.

I'm off to find something old... so I can make it new..

Vintage is the New Old in Accessories

I have been watching alot of Design Fashion shows from Paris and noticed, most of the models are wearing Vintage design jewelry. I love the look. It is so light, and under stated but gives the added class to any look.

It can be worn with jean and tee shirts for this fall. Imagine a some chain in brass and copper hanging with several charms hanging from it. It adds WOW! factor that can be rocked all winter long with jeans and boots.

Also, pearls are always popular.... Check out what's new with Jewelry Fetish of Las Vegas... We will keep you up to date and trendy with designs to last a lifetime...

Making THAT Statement.....

Now, be honest.... When we are going out with our "Man", or our friends, we want to be cute comfortable, but we also want to make a statement... we want to be noticed.

It does not take much to add the little pizzaz to your outfit. Many over do it.. The put on way to much of everything. That is not the way we want to be seen or remembered.

The only thing required is one piece of jewelry... That one piece that you just had to buy when you saw it... Don't over think it.... It proably makes a statement on its own. Maybe it a pair of earrings... that SPARKLE as they swing along your neck, or maybe a necklace set that adds that needed BOLD punch of color that brings your outfit out... may still its a BAD cuff that has all eyes on your wrist as you move around and talk... Now listen... Do not wear all these things at once... Find the one that does it for the outfit, the occasion, the mood you plan to rock for the event...

Now, do I need to say..... Check out Jewelry Fetish on Etsy to find that piece... You will find SPARKLE, you will find BOLD, you will find BAD all in one place. So what are you waiting for, go check us out... CHAO!

Jewelry Anyone?

One thing is for sure.... Jewelry never goes out of style (we all have our own). But the new trends include it more than ever before. The right accessory makes an outfit in today's fashion industry. No matter the size, the color, or the length..... it is all good.

While looking through several fashion magazines I noticed EVERYTHING was coupled with beautiful jewelry... Even the most simplest of dresses or shirts, the focal was the jewelry. Alot of the big name fashion designers now have there own line of jewelry fashioned after the look of Handmade Jewelry... Our skills are popular and in high demand...

So don't slow down, keep your juices and creativity going. Today's consumer is always on the hunt for that unique OOAK piece of jewelry. Handmade jewelry is growing in popularity... we no longer have to hunt for customers, by wearing your OOAK pieces most times you catch the eye of men and women alike. You know longer have to ask...... "Jewelry anyone?" The question is now asked of you....

So keep creating and Enjoy!

Another Exciting Sight in Jewelry... Chains Lots of Chains

I love how chains have evolved into a staple in the Jewelry Industry... They can be so much fun.

I am in love with all the layering..... Chains, long, short, gold, silver, gunmetal, and antiqued with whatever kind of bead. The size and the chain or chains, it all goes.

Multi-layering has been around for some time now, but in the last 2 years it has evolved into one of the most sought after looks. Never be afraid to put pearls and chains together or classic and rock together... the combination and give your outfit the added WOW! you were looking for. While shopping for jewelry get pieces that can go with what you already have, combine colors and textures... never mind the Fashion Police, she will want what you are wearing.

This look is not just for the young. Fashion magazines are showing not just the young, it is worn by everyone. And in some ads with After-Five dresses (you decide the look). I've seen some that have taken several lengths twisted around the neck with a single stand of beads.... you name it and the look makes the look.

So have fun this spring, summer and fall...... This is one chain gang you want to be apart of.

This Years Spring Flare....

This Spring is all about fresh bright colors and pretty prints. Look for the following colors: Violet, Aurora (bright yellow), Turquoise, Fusion Coral (pinky coral color), Tomato Puree, Tuscany (pinkish beige), Amparo Blue (similar to aqua blue), Pink Champagne, Dried Herb, and Eucalyptus (light soft green).

You will see lots of beautiful brightly colored timeless dresses coupled with ruffles. Lots of bold print shirts and dresses, to catch you eye and easy to wear. Also, simple clean lines in straight and flare skirts in many different materials. One of my favorites is floaty chiffon in prints and solids.

This summer the statement is classic and timeless but bold.

This will not be hard to do and sure to be light on your budget.

A new Beginning

Now due to my knowledge of technology..... I will be keeping a weekly journal on my blog about what I have been doing in the creation of new and exciting pieces. Also, any other information that would benefit those with a Passion for Fashion and a Fetish for Jewelry.
